Ogah Decline Calls for Governorship Bid, Reaffirm Commitment to Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Across Kogi State

Director of the Kogi State City Boy Movement, Hon Mark Ogah Okpanachi, has firmly dismissed calls urging him to consider contesting the governorship of Kogi State, stating unequivocally that his current political focus remains strengthening of the movement across the State and the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The clarification follows recent public commentaries strongly urging him to consider seeking higher political office, particularly the governorship of Kogi State

While acknowledging the confidence expressed in him in a Facebook post on his timeline, Hon Ogah made it clear to the public that he has no intention of pursuing the governorship, stressing that loyalty to party structure and commitment to collective political direction must take precedence over personal ambition.

According to him, the immediate task before party leaders and supporters is to consolidate the progress already being made at both the national and state levels.

Hon Ogah emphasized that his current responsibility as Director of the City Boy Movement in Kogi State requires his full dedication toward mobilizing support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He also reaffirmed his strong support for the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that unity within the APC remains essential for sustaining political stability and developmental progress in the state.

“As a loyal member of the APC, I believe strongly in party discipline and collective interest,” he stated. “My responsibility at this time is to work for the success of our leaders and ensure that the Renewed Hope agenda continues to gain momentum across Kogi State.”

The former House of Reps candidate in the 2019 General Election added that although there have been speculations in some quarters regarding a possible bid for the HoR, no formal declaration has been made, assuring that any future political decision would be communicated transparently when the time comes.

Hon Ogah is a respected political mobilizer, businessman, and community leader with deep roots in Kogi East and across the State. Known for his strong grassroots network and organizational capacity, he currently serves as Director of the City Boy Movement in Kogi State, a political platform dedicated to mobilizing support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Beyond politics, the Director has built a reputation in business and community leadership, earning recognition and traditional honours within his community. His influence across youth and grassroots political structures has made him one of the prominent political voices within the APC in Kogi State.

Ogah urged political stakeholders across Kogi East to remain focused on unity and collective progress rather than speculation about future contests.

He stressed that the strength of the APC lies in discipline, coordination, and loyalty to shared goals.

“Our energy at this moment must be directed toward consolidating the achievements of our party and ensuring continued success at both the national and state levels,” he said.
