The City Boy Movement, Kogi State Chapter, has announced the appointment of Unekwu Ocheje as its Director of Strategy and Planning, a key position within the organization as political activities gradually build toward the 2027 general elections.
The appointment was approved under the leadership of Chief Ogah Mark Okpanachi, the Kogi State leader of the movement, who described the decision as part of the chapter’s ongoing effort to strengthen its strategic structure and position the organization for effective grassroots mobilization across the state.
According to the leadership of the movement, Ocheje’s appointment reflects confidence in his experience in digital innovation, political communication, and strategic planning, which are considered essential tools for modern political engagement.
Reacting to the development, Unekwu Ocheje, a digital technocrat, public affairs analyst, and CEO of Fered Global Services Ltd, expressed appreciation to the leadership of the movement for the confidence reposed in him. He noted that the appointment came as a surprise but assured the leadership and members of his commitment to delivering effective strategic direction for the organization.
Shortly after receiving the news of his appointment, Ocheje placed a call to the state leadership to personally appreciate the gesture and reaffirm his readiness to work collaboratively with other officials to strengthen the movement’s structure and expand its influence across Kogi State.
Unekwu Ocheje brings to the role a rich professional background in technology-driven strategy, financial technology consultancy, and digital systems development. A former banker and digital sales professional, he has worked with major institutions including United Bank for Africa and Interswitch, where he contributed significantly to the growth of digital financial services and strategic partnerships. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Fered Global Services Ltd, a Nigerian technology and digital solutions company providing services such as web development, fintech consulting, mobile applications, payment gateway deployment, and digital business infrastructure.
Chief Ogah Mark Okpanachi, under whose leadership the Kogi chapter operates, is widely respected for his contributions to youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community development. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Anarock Global Services Limited and has built a reputation as a philanthropist and advocate for youth inclusion in governance and economic development.
The City Boy Movement is a national political support organization that promotes the leadership vision and development agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The movement has gained significant traction across Nigeria, particularly among young professionals and grassroots mobilizers who support policies aimed at economic reform, national unity, and progressive governance.
Political observers note that the appointment of a technology-driven strategist such as Unekwu Ocheje signals the Kogi State chapter’s intention to embrace modern political organization methods, including data-driven mobilization, digital communication strategies, and structured grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
With this appointment, the City Boy Movement in Kogi State is expected to strengthen its operational strategy, expand its membership base, and enhance its coordination with national structures of the movement.
Stakeholders within the organization have expressed optimism that Ocheje’s expertise and leadership will contribute significantly to the movement’s mission of consolidating support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda while building a strong political support network across Kogi State and beyond.
